Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a barback or related role preferred
- Knowledge of beverage products and cocktail preparation
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and customer service orientation
- Physical ability to kneel, push, pull, and handle occasional ascending or descending of ladders, stairs and ramps
Job Qualifications
- Previous barback experience preferred
- Excellent knowledge of all beverage products
- Previous point of sale system experience an asset
- Basic cocktail knowledge an asset
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Job Duties
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Assist guests regarding all beverage menu items in an informative and helpful way
- Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions
- Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
- Assist with a steady flow of the bar, assisting the bartenders in all operations of mixing cocktails
- Assist with pre-batching of cocktail recipes and ingredient prep
- Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
