Job Requirements
- Must be able to work independently and follow through with deadlines
- able to work Monday - Friday with weekends and holidays as needed
- reliable attendance
- availability to work from July through mid November with potential adjustments
- valid California Driver's License
- currently enrolled in a four-year college or university
- ability to lift up to 45 lbs
- able to perform frequent physical activities including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling
- unrestricted visual and audio abilities
- willingness to travel daily to field locations and occasionally overnight

- ability to perform data entry and analysis
- experience or interest in agriculture or food production is a plus
Job Duties
- Inspect and sample tomato fields at peak maturity
- inspect maturity counts on different tomato varieties
- inspect peel samples of red tomatoes to assess quality
- document sampled product for maturity verification
- submit samples to the QC lab for analysis and perform data analysis
- drive a company issued car daily to assigned work areas
- support daily operations and data collection for olive fields
- join orchard visits and inspect crop conditions
- enter and organize data from fields and labs
- maintain and prepare departmental documentation and reports
- work closely with field staff and managers on projects
- collect olive fruit samples following standard procedures
- coordinate sample submissions and retrieve analysis results
- evaluate orchards for conditions, canopy, fruit set, irrigation, pests, and diseases
- document findings with structured notes and reports
- assist with field mapping and orchard boundary updates
- input scouting, sampling, inventory, and trial data into systems
- help establish and monitor field trials
- record trial data like yield, canopy metrics, and imagery
- contribute to piloting and updating SOPs and internal processes
- perform other duties as assigned
