Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service preferred
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under management direction
  • Must be at least the legal age to serve alcoholic drinks where applicable

  • Food handler's card
  • Local government food safety certification where applicable
  • Local government alcohol service certification where applicable
  • Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily
  • Good oral communication skills
  • Friendly and hospitable service attitude
  • Ability to serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks

Job Duties

  • Be knowledgeable about menu items
  • Greet guests immediately
  • Display your personality and be yourself
  • Take drink orders first
  • Remind guests of daily specials and featured items
  • Answer guest questions
  • Deliver drinks to guests
  • Take guest orders and send to the kitchen
  • Verify accuracy of food delivered
  • Ask guests if they need additional items such as extra pitas or condiments
  • Follow up consistently with guests
  • Verify satisfaction with food and refill drinks
  • Pre-bus tables after guests finish eating
  • Provide leftover containers when necessary
  • Suggest dessert items
  • Serve dessert orders
  • Present the check and accept payment
  • Thank guests and welcome them back
  • Sell alcoholic drinks and check identification
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of restaurant and lounge
  • Complete all required side work
  • Operate till and manage balance when required
  • Provide courteous and cordial service to employees and guests
