Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
- must be able to work open, mid, and closing shifts
- ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- reliable and punctual
- able to follow instructions and respond to management direction
- maintain safety and security procedures
- able to handle physical demands including standing and lifting
- must be at least legal age to serve alcohol
Job Qualifications
- food handler's card
- local government food safety certification where applicable
- local government alcohol service certification where applicable
- ability to perform all essential duties satisfactorily
- knowledge of food and beverage service
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- strong customer service orientation
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Job Duties
- be knowledgeable about menu items
- immediately greet the guest
- display your personality
- take drink orders first
- remind guests of daily specials and featured items
- answer guests' questions
- deliver drinks
- take orders and send to kitchen
- verify orders for accuracy upon delivery
- ask if guests need anything additional
- follow up with guests regularly
- pre-bus tables after guests finish
- suggest dessert items
- serve dessert orders
- present check to guests
- thank guests and welcome them back
- sell alcoholic drinks responsibly and check ID
- maintain cleanliness of restaurant and lounge
- complete all required side work
- handle till and balance if required
- provide courteous and cordial service
