Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3-5+ years of event management experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet applications
- Knowledge of event operations and crowd management
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Familiarity with facility contracts and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of event management experience in stadium, arena, convention center or public assembly setting
- Bachelor’s degree in facility management, hospitality management, business or related field preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and internet use
- Knowledge of event operational characteristics
- Ability to identify users' needs
- Knowledge of crowd management and control techniques
- Understanding of customer service practices
- Knowledge of principles of supervision, scheduling, and employee training
- Familiarity with facility use contracts
- Knowledge of fire and public safety regulations
- Knowledge of AV equipment and electronic systems in public assembly facilities
- Experience with budget preparation and control
- Familiarity with terminology in entertainment, convention, and public assembly settings
- Experience with AutoCAD preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Direct all facility staff in delivering facility services for events and resolving event related problems
- Direct and participate in pre-event planning and initiate correspondence with event planners and suppliers
- Compile and review event and contractor charges, prepare documentation for invoicing, assist in collections
- Conduct post-event meetings to evaluate services provided
- Conduct tours of the facilities for potential customers and assess event needs
- Assist with preparing pricing estimates for prospective meetings
- Monitor and ensure compliance with contractual responsibilities and facility policies
