Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3-5+ years of event management experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet applications
  • Knowledge of event operations and crowd management
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with facility contracts and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of event management experience in stadium, arena, convention center or public assembly setting
  • Bachelor’s degree in facility management, hospitality management, business or related field preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and internet use
  • Knowledge of event operational characteristics
  • Ability to identify users' needs
  • Knowledge of crowd management and control techniques
  • Understanding of customer service practices
  • Knowledge of principles of supervision, scheduling, and employee training
  • Familiarity with facility use contracts
  • Knowledge of fire and public safety regulations
  • Knowledge of AV equipment and electronic systems in public assembly facilities
  • Experience with budget preparation and control
  • Familiarity with terminology in entertainment, convention, and public assembly settings
  • Experience with AutoCAD preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Direct all facility staff in delivering facility services for events and resolving event related problems
  • Direct and participate in pre-event planning and initiate correspondence with event planners and suppliers
  • Compile and review event and contractor charges, prepare documentation for invoicing, assist in collections
  • Conduct post-event meetings to evaluate services provided
  • Conduct tours of the facilities for potential customers and assess event needs
  • Assist with preparing pricing estimates for prospective meetings
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with contractual responsibilities and facility policies
