Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3-5+ years of experience in event management within relevant facilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet
  • Knowledge of event operations, crowd management, and customer service
  • Ability to supervise and train employees
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and facility contracts
  • Budget management experience
  • Capacity to work collaboratively across departments
  • Adaptability to perform additional job duties

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of event management experience in a stadium, arena, convention center or public assembly facility
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in facility management, hospitality management, business or related field
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and internet use
  • Knowledge of event operations and customer service practices
  • Ability to identify needs of facility users
  • Familiarity with crowd management and control techniques
  • Knowledge of supervision, scheduling, and employee training
  • Experience with facility use contracts and fire/public safety regulations
  • Understanding of A/V equipment and electronic systems in public assembly facilities
  • Experience with budget preparation and control
  • Familiarity with entertainment and convention terminology
  • AutoCAD experience preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Direct all facility staff in delivering facility services for events and resolving event related problems
  • Direct and participate in pre-event planning, reviewing event history, and coordinating with event planners and suppliers
  • Compile and review event and contractor charges, prepare documentation for invoicing, and assist with collections follow-up
  • Conduct post-event meetings with event planners and contractors to evaluate services provided
  • Conduct facility tours for potential clients and assist with pricing estimates
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with contractual responsibilities and facility regulations
  • Provide communication of directives to other departments and implement facility rules and policies
