Job Requirements

  • Associates degree preferred
  • minimum of 1 year title and closing services experience
  • ability to obtain Escrow Officer License within the first 6 months in position
  • motivated, energetic and positive team player
  • professional image and neat appearance
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word), phone systems and office equipment
  • knowledge of client-based systems
  • attention to detail
  • excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • ability to problem solve and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • requires sitting for the majority of the day, lifting up to 35 pounds, bending, squatting, twisting and kneeling occasionally
  • reaching above and below shoulder level frequently
  • availability Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Greet members, realtors, runners and visitors entering the department
  • answer all incoming calls to the department
  • maintain a ledger for all pick up checks
  • receive the intake of contracts, earnest money, and option money checks
  • open orders on Ramquest software and prepare all folders for individual files
  • make sure all checks are deposited accurately through RDC
  • issue all resale and other lender policies
  • record documents for public record
  • mail recorded release of liens to sellers once received by mail
  • mail or send, through courier service, all attorney and surveyor checks
  • answer questions about the organization, i.e. company address, directions and other information
  • determine the nature of business and announce visitors to the appropriate personnel
  • maintain appointment calendar
  • take payment for services and products
  • receive and sort mail
  • responsible for maintenance of office equipment and assist staff with use of equipment
  • send faxes and retrieve and route incoming faxes
  • create memos, correspondence, reports and other documents as necessary
  • order, receive and maintain office supplies
  • assist with the ditching and destruction of all files once all necessary documents have been imaged
  • perform other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying and scanning
  • maintain and understanding of title insurance requirements and guidelines in Texas and stays current on changing rules and requirements imposed by Texas Department of Insurance
  • attend team meetings to stay abreast of new processes, improvements, and training as needed
  • maintain and understand compliance to ensure that work complies with Prosperus and GECU’s established policies, procedures and applicable regulations, to include Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Member Identification Program (MIP), and Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC)
  • other duties that may be assigned or required in connection with the general operation of the credit union
