Job Requirements
- Physically able to lift 40lbs repeatedly up to head height to stock shelves multiples times a day and unload delivery pallets
- Physically able to continuously bend, kneel, push, pull, reach, and twist multiples times a day
- Physically able to stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours
- Physically able to climb ladders multiple times a day to put up and access products for customers
- Will need to meet the requirements of our Safe Driving Policy and be willing to drive our company owned Same Day Delivery Vehicle
- Expected to have open and weekend availability including closing 3 nights per week
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Must have a valid driver's license and a minimum of 2 years driving experience
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills
- Excellent sales and customer service skills
- Extensive knowledge of the store products
- Ability to anticipate customer's needs
- Ability to recommend store products to customers
- Ability to operate or to quickly learn the store's point-of-sale system
Job Duties
- Arriving early to open and staying late to close the store to ensure the store is prepared for business
- Assuming managerial responsibilities in the event of management absences
- Greeting and assisting customers daily according to the Hollywood Feed customer service standards
- Demonstrate the ability and knowledge to thoroughly explain the store products to best meet the pet and customer needs
- Communicate openly and respectfully with supervisors, corporate office, and coworkers
- Effectively operate both independently and as a part of a team by offering support and training to new employees
- Employees will be required to unload truck pallets and stock shelves
