Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of institutional cooking experience
  • Two years of food service experience
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
  • On-site presence required with commutable distance to NewYork-Presbyterian
  • Must comply with food safety standards
  • Reliable and punctual

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum one year of related institutional cooking experience
  • At least two years of food service experience
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to work flexible rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Job Duties

  • Produce all hot foods including preparation of wraps, paninis, sandwiches, pizza and grab and go items
  • Rotate between various stations including soup, salad, and sanitation
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food preparation areas
  • Ensure food safety and quality standards are met
  • Assist with inventory management and stock supplies
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to meet service demands
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned
