  • NRA ServSafe certification
  • MRA allergen training
  • ability to read and write English
  • ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operation with a diverse staff

Job Duties

  • Assist in the preparation of food items using recipes for all meals
  • provide routine support in kitchen by slicing, mixing, grilling, sauteing, roasting, steaming, baking, and stewing
  • monitor foods while cooking to maintain proper temperatures and ensure proper timing cycles
  • transport food to serving areas, assemble and replenish food items as required
  • transport food and equipment to catered functions and assist in the execution of events
  • perform routine sanitation and safety functions of work areas and equipment
  • assist in the training of food service workers and students as directed
  • perform other reasonable duties as assigned
