Job Duties
- Assist in the preparation of food items using recipes for all meals
- provide routine support in kitchen by slicing, mixing, grilling, sauteing, roasting, steaming, baking, and stewing
- monitor foods while cooking to maintain proper temperatures and ensure proper timing cycles
- transport food to serving areas, assemble and replenish food items as required
- transport food and equipment to catered functions and assist in the execution of events
- perform routine sanitation and safety functions of work areas and equipment
- assist in the training of food service workers and students as directed
- perform other reasonable duties as assigned
