Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 3-5 years short order cooking and/or cold food preparation experience
- ServSafe certification preferred
- ability to work part time during the day
- capable of following food safety standards and kitchen protocols

- knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen safety protocols
- ability to follow recipes and food preparation instructions accurately
- strong teamwork and communication skills
Job Duties
- Prepare food for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu
- read food order or receive verbal instructions on food required by patron and prepare and cook food according to instructions
- follow basic recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other foodstuffs
- prepare food under direct supervision by operating a variety of kitchen equipment to measure and mix ingredients
- wash, peel, cut and shred fruits and vegetables
- trim and cut meat, poultry or fish for culinary use
