Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 3-5 years short order cooking and/or cold food preparation experience
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • ability to work part time during the day
  • capable of following food safety standards and kitchen protocols

Job Qualifications

  • Hold ServSafe certification, preferred
  • have 3-5 years of short order cooking and/or cold food preparation experience
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen safety protocols
  • ability to follow recipes and food preparation instructions accurately
  • strong teamwork and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare food for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu
  • read food order or receive verbal instructions on food required by patron and prepare and cook food according to instructions
  • follow basic recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other foodstuffs
  • prepare food under direct supervision by operating a variety of kitchen equipment to measure and mix ingredients
  • wash, peel, cut and shred fruits and vegetables
  • trim and cut meat, poultry or fish for culinary use
