Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalency
  • minimum 1 year experience in cooking or food preparation
  • ability to work rotating shifts including weekends
  • flexibility to follow dietary guidelines and safety standards
  • commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in food preparation areas
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen duties
  • attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalency
  • minimum 1 year cooking experience preferably in a healthcare or similar food service environment
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • ability to follow detailed recipes and dietary instructions
  • good communication and teamwork skills
  • willingness to work rotating shifts including every other weekend

Job Duties

  • prepare meals for patients according to daily menu and production sheets including breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • plan daily menu options accommodating special dietary restrictions
  • prepare salads, sandwiches, and desserts in compliance with nutrition guidelines
  • maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen and dish room assisting with proper ware washing procedures
  • adhere to food safety standards including wearing clean uniforms, gloves, and hair coverings
  • collaborate with dietary team to ensure timely meal service and consistency
  • monitor inventory levels and report shortages to management
