Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum three years of customer service experience
  • Willingness to obtain CPR/AED certification and ServSafe alcohol training
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Clear vision and effective speech communication
  • Ability to work indoors in a clean, comfortable environment
  • Flexibility to work variable hours prior to performances
  • Ability to work as essential personnel during local emergencies as required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three years of customer service experience
  • Interest and background in performing arts preferred
  • Prior cash handling experience preferred
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Skill in the use of Windows-based programs
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and make quick decisions
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy

Job Duties

  • Arrive 1 hour 30 minutes prior to performance and prepare venue for patrons
  • Check cleanliness and comfort of restrooms and house
  • Assist with setting up and restocking concession area
  • Greet patrons and coordinate with volunteer usher staff and box office
  • Distribute playbills and communicate with stage manager for performance start
  • Manage concession sales and reconcile cash and credit transactions
  • Secure venue by locking doors, turning off lights, and setting alarms after patron departure
  • Process advance will call tickets and assist walk-up ticket sales
  • Respond to phone messages and return reservation calls
  • Identify VIP patrons and coordinate attendance reconciliation
  • Serve beverages and snacks, monitor alcohol sales responsibly, and check IDs
  • Clean and organize concession area post-show
  • Perform other duties as assigned
