Job Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
  • At least 3 years of technical theatre experience including lighting sound and audiovisual competence
  • Experience in event production and management
  • Experience with live and livestreamed event logistics
  • Experience in guest services including front of house management box office registration and audience safety logistics
  • Strong leadership customer service organization and problem-solving skills
  • Experience training student and young professional crews in basic theatrical production principles
  • Availability to work flexible hours including days evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Leading teams of venue staff composed of student and independent part-time theatre technicians and house managers plus volunteer ushers and collaborating with event staff from Drexel units and external clients to execute events
  • Serving as event lead and theater representative in the absence of Technical Director and Managing Director
  • Preparing events prior to client arrival and overseeing load-ins and load-outs
  • Ensuring client requests and expectations are met or exceeded within resources and event agreements
  • Supervising front of house operations and facility during events staffed by rental clients
  • Being trained in adult and pediatric basic first aid and CPR/AED and assisting with emergency response coordination
  • Actively participating in all aspects of event execution
