Job Requirements

  • Must be 16 years of age or older
  • One year of experience in working with children
  • Minimum of one to three years' experience in working or performing in theatre production
  • Must have basic knowledge in the theater field
  • CPR/First Aid certification required
  • Must be self-motivated and responsible
  • Ability to follow directions and communicate in English verbally and in writing
  • Ability to deal with residents, staff and job responsibilities under stressful conditions
  • Must be able to respond to and handle children's behaviors in a positive appropriate manner
  • Enjoys working outside in warm/hot weather

  • Must be able to respond to and handle children's behaviors in a positive appropriate manner

  • Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities to perform required work
  • Must be energetic and possess the ability to manage a group of participants in a manner that encourages social growth, safety and fun

Job Duties

  • Responsible for the direct leadership of all daily activities and events
  • Assists in organizing and structuring large and small group activities
  • Creating and teaching theater lessons to participants
  • Sets up and participates in day camp activities
  • Teach participants basic theatre skill sets
  • Prepare participants for auditions
  • Cleans up after activities and at the end of the day
