Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business field
  • minimum four years of business-related experience, preferably in hospitality
  • at least two years of supervisory experience in accounting
  • advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • proficiency in Micros OPERA and accounting software like Great Plains
  • CPA or MBA preferred
  • strong communication and analytical skills
  • ability to manage confidential information
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • ability to multitask effectively
  • typing speed of 45 words per minute
  • ability to adhere to company policies and procedures
  • willingness to comply with safety and security procedures
  • positive attitude and strong work ethic

Job Qualifications

  • B.S. or B.A. in accounting or related business field from an accredited university
  • CPA or MBA preferred
  • four years of business-related experience as Senior Staff Accountant
  • minimum two years of supervisory experience in accounting-related field
  • thorough knowledge of general accounting and financial reporting requirements
  • proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Micros OPERA, ADP/Paycom, and Great Plains software
  • exceptional communication skills
  • excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to uphold confidentiality and discretion
  • service-oriented with excellent customer service and sales skills

Job Duties

  • Establishes and enforces accounting policies and procedures and internal controls
  • prepares and monitors daily management reports regarding the property’s financial position
  • manages the annual budget process including schedule establishment, variance analysis, and financial data consolidation
  • supervises and trains accounting staff, including payroll processing
  • submits timely capital draw requests to ownership
  • advises operational leaders on financial practices to improve efficiency
  • complies with government reporting requirements and tax filings
