Job Requirements
- Minimum relevant bartending experience in a large convention hotel preferred
- serve safe certified
- unexpired TIPs certification
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
- excellent communication skills in English
- ability to maintain professional appearance and high personal hygiene
- punctual and reliable
- able to handle stressful situations
- computer literate with knowledge of payroll and POS systems
Job Qualifications
- Hands-on food and beverage knowledge
- comprehensive working knowledge of hospitality business
- minimum relevant bartending experience in a large convention hotel preferred

Job Duties
- Consistent maintenance and refinement of service standards
- ensures compliance with all hotel standards and local laws
- ensure compliance with health, safety and sanitation awareness standards
- prepare daily for health department and Ecosure inspections
- perform all necessary tasks for bartender according to standard operating procedure including set up BQT bars, polishing glassware, garnish prep, stock ice, bar closing procedures
- perform sidework including cleaning bar and beverage equipment and surrounding areas
- check identification for proof of age when required
- set up and break down the bar area
- adhere to trash procedures
- contribute to restaurant sanitation and timing of service
- ensure prompt delivery and quality control
- perform proper steps of service
- ensure high-quality bar sets, service, food quality and presentation
- report maintenance or housekeeping needs
- maintain furniture, fixtures and equipment
- minimize breakage
- assist in controlling food and beverage quantities
- perform accurate POS procedures and cash/credit handling
- ensure positive guest service and respond to complaints
- respond to guest requests promptly
- maintain knowledge of hotel offerings and local surroundings
- attend daily stand up meeting
- contribute to cleanliness and organization of restaurant space
- complete daily paperwork
- execute instructions on Restaurant Event Orders
