Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of relevant bartending experience
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods
- ability to maintain high standards of personal hygiene and appearance
- strong communication skills in English
- computer literacy including payroll systems, Micros and POS
- Serve Safe certified
- valid TIPs certification
- ability to follow health, safety and sanitation regulations
- ability to handle stressful and busy hotel operations

Job Qualifications
- Hands-on food and beverage knowledge
- comprehensive working knowledge of the hospitality business
- minimum relevant bartending experience in a large convention hotel preferred
- strong knowledge of mixology, beverage garnishes, liquor, beer and wine

Job Duties
- Consistent maintenance and refinement of service standards
- ensure compliance with all hotel standards and local laws
- ensure compliance with health, safety and sanitation awareness standards
- prepare daily for health department and Ecosure inspections
- perform all necessary bartender tasks including setting up BQT bars with glassware and beverage
- polish all glassware
- garnish prep
- stock ice
- proper breakdown and storage of beverage requisitions
- service of all beverages
- proper bar closing procedures
- perform all sidework assigned by management including cleaning of bar and beverage equipment, bar seats, surrounding guest areas, walls, bar floors and assigned work area
- check identification for proof of age when required
- set up and break down the bar area
- adhere to all proper trash procedures
- contribute to restaurant sanitation operation and timing of service out to banquet areas
- ensure prompt delivery and quality control
- perform proper steps of service
- maintain high-quality bar sets, service, food quality and presentation
- report any housekeeping or maintenance needs
- maintain furniture, fixtures and equipment to high standards
- minimize breakage of hotel assets
- assist in controlling food and beverage quantities
- perform accurate POS procedures and cash/credit handling
- ensure positive guest service and respond to complaints appropriately
- respond to guest requests accurately and timely
- maintain knowledge of hotel offerings and local surroundings
- attend daily stand-up meetings
- contribute to cleanliness and organization of restaurant space
- complete necessary daily paperwork
- execute instructions on Restaurant Event Orders
