Job Requirements

Minimum relevant bar experience in a large convention hotel strongly preferred
Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor
Ability to communicate clearly and pleasantly in English
Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
Computer literacy with payroll systems, Micros, POS systems
Serve Safe certification
Unexpired TIPs

Job Qualifications

Hands-on food and beverage knowledge
Comprehensive, working knowledge of the hospitality business
Minimum of relevant bar experience in a large convention hotel strongly preferred
Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor and composure
Proven ability to engage guests at all levels
Passionate about providing warm, engaging, and personalized service
Ability to communicate clearly and pleasantly in English verbally and in writing with guests, management, and co-workers
Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
Computer literacy including payroll systems, Micros, POS systems
Serve Safe certified
Unexpired TIPs required

Job Duties

Consistent maintenance and refinement of service standards
Ensures compliance with all hotel standards and local laws
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation awareness standards
Prepare daily for health department and Ecosure inspections
Must have knowledge of a variety of alcoholic beverages
Retain and maintain complete knowledge of all food and beverage menu items
Perform all banquet side work as assigned by management including cleaning of bar and beverage equipment, cleaning of portable bars and back bars, walls, and carpets surrounding assigned work area
Ensure positive guest service and respond positively to complaints, taking appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests
Assist in controlling food and beverage quantities by avoiding over/under preparing
Assist with set up and break down of all the banquet bar areas
Attend all required department trainings and meetings
Perform any other duties required by leadership
