Job Requirements

  • Hands-on food and beverage knowledge
  • minimum relevant bar experience in a large convention hotel preferred
  • ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor and composure
  • proven ability to engage guests at all levels
  • passionate about providing warm, engaging, and personalized service
  • ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate verbally and in writing in English
  • able to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays
  • able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
  • computer literacy including payroll systems, Micros, POS systems
  • Serve Safe certified
  • unexpired TIPs required

Job Duties

  • Consistent maintenance and refinement of service standards
  • ensures compliance with all hotel standards and local laws
  • ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation awareness standards
  • prepare daily for health department and Ecosure inspections
  • perform all banquet side work as assigned by management including cleaning of bar and beverage equipment, portable bars, back bars, walls, and carpets surrounding assigned work area
  • ensure positive guest service and respond positively to complaints, taking all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests
  • assist in controlling food and beverage quantities by avoiding over/under preparing
  • assist with set up and break down of all banquet bar areas
  • attend all required department trainings and meetings
  • perform any other duties required by leadership
