Job Requirements

  • culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • minimum 3 years culinary experience with leadership roles
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to manage kitchen staff effectively
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • commitment to maintaining high culinary standards
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • familiarity with safety and sanitation regulations

Job Qualifications

  • 3 years of progressive culinary experience
  • at least 1 year in a lead cook or sous chef role
  • strong understanding of cooking methods and preparation techniques
  • natural leadership and team management skills
  • ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • knowledge of kitchen operations including purchasing and stewarding
  • passion for seafood and sustainable sourcing

Job Duties

  • manage hourly back-of-house staff and assist in daily kitchen operations
  • oversee food production, preparation, and presentation to ensure quality and timeliness
  • support special and private event catering and execution
  • coordinate stewarding, purchasing, and receiving tasks
  • lead the kitchen effectively in the absence of the Executive Chef
  • maintain a cohesive and motivated kitchen team
  • delegate tasks efficiently and work calmly under pressure
