Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Six months experience as a server in a comparable restaurant preferred
  • RAMP certification preferred
  • Availability during peak operating times including weekends, holidays, and special events
  • Ability to operate point-of-sale system
  • Basic knowledge of food presentation, preparation, and handling
  • Basic math skills and ability to handle money
  • Ability to work standing for 8 hours or more
  • Ability to safely lift and carry trays weighing 20 to 25 pounds
  • Excellent guest service skills with attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Clear communication abilities
  • Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
  • Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Effective at listening to and resolving guest concerns

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all guests
  • Welcome and greet guests making all guests feel comfortable
  • Inform guests of specials and menu options
  • Make recommendations guests will enjoy
  • Up sell food and beverage items using suggestive selling techniques
  • Take food and beverage orders and enter them into point-of-sale system
  • Deliver food and beverages to guests timely
  • Perform side work as required by service station assignment
  • Maintain clean service areas
  • Monitor guests dining experience to ensure satisfaction
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests
  • Prepare final bill and process payments
  • Assist fellow servers and bus persons as needed
  • Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
