Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or Restaurant Manager or in a leadership role within a resort or restaurant
  • Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field preferred but not required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with frequent lifting of objects up to 25 lbs
  • Capability to walk, stand, reach, handle, feel, talk, hear and see as part of daily physical activity
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace and pass pre-employment substance abuse testing

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations including staff management, inventory control, and financial management
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the food service industry
  • Culinary knowledge and passion for steakhouse cuisine is a plus

Job Duties

  • Interview, select, train, supervise, counsel and discipline restaurant staff for efficient operation
  • Organize and conduct pre-shift and department meetings to communicate pertinent information to staff such as house count and menu changes
  • Schedule and direct staff in their work assignments
  • Maximize restaurant profitability by controlling food, beverage, and labor costs and monitoring budget to ensure operational efficiency
  • Ensure par stock levels by calculating inventory, ordering, and stocking products
  • Develop and implement cost savings and profit enhancement measures
  • Utilize computer systems to charge customers, create forecast and revenue reports, and retrieve data
  • Monitor food quality and service standards throughout the facility and take corrective actions
  • Verify food temperatures, appearance, taste, and preparation methods to maintain quality standards
  • Provide guidance and implement adjustments for consistency
  • Review and evaluate customer satisfaction, recommend and implement new marketing or operational policies, resolve complaints
  • Ensure compliance with restaurant policies and all local, state, and federal laws and regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper sanitation of work and service areas
  • Participate in developing and marketing new menus to attract targeted customer markets
  • Promote cross-selling within hotel outlets and the company
  • Ensure associates apply Forbes standards across all areas
