Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be twenty one years of age or older
  • Nevada Gaming Registration
  • Previous manager experience preferred
  • Two years of front office supervisory experience preferred
  • Previous experience in most aspects of hotel operations
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written
  • Computer literate with MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Opera experience a plus
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Ability to see, speak clearly and listen carefully
  • Ability to withstand noisy and smoke-filled environments

Job Qualifications

  • Previous manager experience preferred
  • Two years of front office supervisory experience is preferred
  • Previous experience in most aspects of hotel operations is essential
  • Must be twenty one years of age or older
  • All employees must be knowledgeable of all company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations
  • High school diploma or the equivalent
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English in both written and oral forms
  • Must possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to effectively communicate with guests, team members, supervisors, and external organizations
  • Must be computer literate with MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Opera experience is a plus
  • Must possess outstanding interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Must have the ability to see, speak clearly and listen carefully in order to communicate with hotel departments and external guests
  • Must have the ability to withstand noisy and smoke-filled environments

Job Duties

  • Counsels, guides, trains and instructs all employees working in the hotel area in their duties
  • Confers with the sales/marketing department to ensure that the highest room occupancy rates are achieved
  • Usually handles the critical day-to-day hotel functions, including employee schedules
  • Maintains effective and efficient department procedures and controls, and ensures that all departments with the hotel operations are scheduled properly for maximum coverage during peak hours
  • Oversees the front desk computer system and coordinates any necessary modifications
  • Shows special recognition of frequent guests
  • Maintains communication and cooperation with other shifts and departments to keep employees informed of all pertinent information, including sending out a daily newsletter to all employees
  • Handles complaints from employees and guests in a prompt courteous manner
  • Assists the Hotel Manager with operating forecasts and other required departmental reports
