Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Three years of advanced cooking skills required
- Previous customer service experience required
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Ability to deal effectively and interact well with customers and employees
- Ability to resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
- Must be able to stand walk and move through all areas of the casino
- Maintain physical stamina and mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast paced casino environment
- Work involves moderate exposure to hot and cold temperatures and loud noises
- Moderate physical activity required including handling objects up to fifty pounds
- Work environment involves some exposure to physical risk requiring basic safety precautions
Job Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Culinary education or experience preferred
- Three years of advanced cooking skills required
- Previous customer service experience required
- Must possess excellent communication skills including reading writing and speaking effectively
- Ability to deal effectively and interact well with customers and employees
- Ability to resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
Job Duties
- Insure food items are properly stored including raw materials and prepared items
- Inspect all outgoing orders are properly prepared with correct portion control and garnishing
- Ensure all items like soups sauces and gravies are available before restaurant opening and assemble supplies and equipment for daily cooking
- Take inventory of all meats and seafood with knowledge of needed products and quantities
- Coordinate food orders to the appropriate cooks
- Prepare all food items strictly according to recipe specifications
- Review production schedule to determine food requirements including variety and quantity of food preparation
- Complete production sheets and records in conjunction with Sous Chefs
- Maintain clean work areas utensils and equipment
- Regulate temperatures of ovens broilers and grills
- Maintain proper food temperatures in accordance with regulatory and ServSafe standards
- Properly label date and rotate all products ensuring safety and sanitation
- Command all kitchen stations including roast fry pasta vegetable grill pantry breakfast sauté and high volume cooking
- Collaborate with Sous and Room Chefs on daily operations
- Mentor and teach Cooks and Production Cooks
- Work harmoniously with others in a strenuous environment
- Report to work well-groomed in full uniform and on time
- Provide prompt friendly and courteous food and beverage service
- Maintain hospitality and positive communication with guests coworkers and management
- Comply with information security policies and procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service maintaining a professional environment
- Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to departmental policies
- Complete required training programs within nine months
- Attend all necessary meetings
- Duties and responsibilities subject to change with a 24-hour schedule
