Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of intermediate cooking skills
- Previous customer service experience
- Ability to read, write and speak effectively
- Ability to interact well with customers and employees
- Ability to resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically
- Must be able to stand, walk and move through all areas of casino F&B operation
- Ability to work in fast-paced, noisy, and hot or cold environment
- Ability to handle objects up to fifty pounds
- Must maintain physical stamina and mental composure under pressure
- Willingness to work in an environment where smoking is permitted
- Adherence to safety precautions
- Meet attendance and company policy standards
- Complete required training within nine months
- Attend all necessary meetings
Job Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Culinary education or experience preferred
- Minimum two years of intermediate cooking skills
- Previous customer service experience required
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to resolve conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
- Ability to interact effectively with customers and employees
- Knowledge of recipes, equipment operation, and cooking techniques
Job Duties
- Rotate between cooking stations and restaurants in hot temperature areas
- Command all kitchen stations including roast, fry, pasta, vegetable, grill, pantry, breakfast, sauté, and high volume cooking
- Maintain proper food temperatures according to regulatory and ServSafe standards
- Properly label, date, and rotate all products to ensure food safety and sanitation
- Review production schedules to determine food requirements including variety and quantity
- Assemble supplies and equipment needed for daily cooking activities
- Follow production sheets and records as required
- Regulate temperatures of ovens, broilers, and grills
- Use a variety of pots, pans, and equipment to prepare food
- Work harmoniously with others in a strenuous environment
- Report to work well-groomed in full uniform and with badge
- Provide prompt, friendly, and courteous service to guests
- Maintain a professional and hospitable attitude with guests, co-workers, and management
- Comply with information security policies
- Attend required training programs and meetings
- Meet attendance and company policy standards
- Adapt to 24-hour schedule shifts
