Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum two years experience in culinary management
- Technical school training or equivalent
- Ability to type 35 words per minute or more
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
- Effective communication skills in English
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for long periods
- Leadership skills with clear communication

Job Qualifications

- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and technical documents
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- Must obtain and maintain a Gaming License
- Must pass drug screening
- Experience in coaching for success preferred
- Culinary degree preferred
- Bi-lingual language skills preferred

Job Duties
- Support and uphold the Valley View Casino’s Standards of Excellence
- Maintain positive guest relations and resolve guest complaints
- Monitor staff for outstanding customer interaction and personalized service
- Ensure kitchen operations comply with strategic plans and vision
- Maximize cost effectiveness by managing budget, labor, and revenue benchmarks
- Prepare and season food according to established recipes
- Supervise kitchen staff and provide feedback on job performance
- Address staff productivity issues and document findings
- Ensure availability of supplies and equipment
- Conduct daily huddles and schedule meetings with staff
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in compliance with health regulations
- Enforce safety rules and regulations
- Resolve guest problems and special service requests
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation
- Comply with all relevant health, liquor, and safety regulations
- Maintain professional and ethical conduct
- Ensure attendance and punctuality
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training, and performance appraisal
- Handle complaints and resolve problems in a non-biased manner
