Job Duties

Provides superior customer service
takes orders from customers by telephone or in person
answers customer questions regarding products and assists them with selections
prepares, packages, and merchandises fresh product effectively
slices, packages, labels, rotates, and culls products for poor quality
assists in technical areas as needed such as basic set-up and clean-up processes
uses suggestive selling techniques and basic product knowledge to meet customer needs and build department sales
cleans and sanitizes display cases
operates and maintains equipment properly
complies with H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards
complies with department and store operating procedures
performs department-specific duties such as recording production and shrink in bakery, managing service counter customers in deli, and serving/packaging products in prepared foods
