Job Requirements

  • must have a bachelor's degree in STEM with relevant work experience or a master's degree in STEM
  • must have at least 2 years relevant experience for Level 2 or 5 years for Level 3
  • must have experience using benchtop instrumentation
  • must be able to interpret basic circuit diagrams
  • must be willing to work night shifts and field sites
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • must have active Secret Clearance
  • must be able to work 12.5-hour shifts including nights
  • must comply with DoD SkillBridge eligibility criteria if applying through the internship program

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor's or master's degree in a science, technology, engineering, or math discipline
  • experience using benchtop instrumentation such as spectrum analyzers and digital multimeters
  • ability to interpret basic circuit diagrams
  • willingness to work night shifts 30-70% of the time
  • willingness to work at field sites as needed
  • U.S. citizenship
  • active Secret Clearance
  • preferred master's degree in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering
  • experience in troubleshooting analog or high-voltage circuitry
  • programming and automation skills using languages such as MATLAB, Python, C/C++, C#, Visual Basic, or LabVIEW
  • PLC programming experience
  • experience testing rotating machinery
  • acoustics, dynamics, or control systems testing experience
  • experience with multi-channel data acquisition systems
  • systems engineering experience
  • Navy experience

Job Duties

  • perform system-level tests of turbine-generators and gear-driven propulsion units
  • integrate data acquisition systems
  • develop and program automation routines
  • acquire and analyze test data
  • control the conduct of tests
  • write test procedures and detailed reports
  • support night shift schedules and field site assignments as needed
