Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least one year of sales experience preferred
  • a valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record in good standing
  • foodservice, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality experience preferred
  • excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • ability to build relationships and cold call to develop new business
  • exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • competitive spirit and goal-driven mentality
  • problem solving, organizational and negotiation skills
  • team player with ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools is a plus
  • ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs

Job Duties

  • Be the customer champion by owning and nurturing customer relationships in a team-based selling model
  • educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations, and pricing strategies
  • drive sales success through impactful presentations, increasing case growth, and acquiring new business
  • collaborate with specialists and other departments like marketing, supply chain, and customer service for seamless product delivery
  • develop new business using market intelligence databases, following leads, participating in organizations, and attending trade shows
  • manage delivery schedules and troubleshoot order process issues such as mispicks or stock-outs
  • stay informed on market conditions, product innovations, and competitors to provide value-added services
  • conduct regular customer site visits and follow-ups using personal motor vehicle
