Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of sales experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and a motor vehicle record in good standing
  • Foodservice industry, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality experience preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Presentation abilities
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals
  • Problem solving ability
  • Organization and negotiation skills
  • Team up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Tech-savviness - proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus
  • Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs

Job Duties

  • Be the customer champion - own and nurture the customer relationship in a team based selling model
  • Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations and pricing strategies
  • Drive sales success by selling to customers, increasing case growth, and acquiring new business through sales presentations
  • Work collaboratively with specialists, marketing, supply chain and customer service to ensure seamless product delivery
  • Develop new business by identifying prospective customers through market intelligence, business directories, leads, organizations, trade shows and conferences
  • Manage deliveries to the routing schedule and troubleshoot delivery-related issues
  • Stay on the move by conducting regular check ins, site visits and follow ups
