Job Description
In the role of Termite Technician, individuals play a crucial part in protecting customer properties from wood-destroying organisms. As the first line of defense against termite damage, the Technician inspects, prevents, and treats infestations to ensure the safety and longevity of structures. The work involves identifying termite problems, understanding termite behavior to recommend remedial actions, and safely applying treatments according to company protocols and regulatory standards. Job Requirements
- Clean shaven face for safety reasons (rebreathers have to be able to seal your face)
- Possess a valid driver's license from state of residence (company vehicle and gas card provided)
- Be flexible with working hours, Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed
- Tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp and or dusty locations
- Prepare the job site for treatment
- Enter and exit structures and crawl spaces
- climb over and on top of structures
- ascend and descend stairs and ladders
- Be comfortable working 20 feet up on a ladder along with working in small confined spaces
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), like an OSHA-compliant respirator
- Regularly work in confined spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 years of customer service experience, experience in termite control is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Licenses or certificates as required by federal, state, and or local regulations
- Basic math skills - add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to work on roofs and high areas
- General laborer, carpentry, cement, roofing, gutter and attic experience is plus
Job Duties
- Identify customer's termite problems and have knowledge of termite behaviors and habits to determine remedial steps
- Perform termite treatment services safely and according to company guidelines and standard practices
- Apply anti-termite treatments to structures according to schedule, safety procedures and label instructions
- Communicate to the customer critical conditions that are conducive to termite activity discuss procedures and structural modifications, which may be supplemental to treatment process
- Verify that job specifications are appropriate for each work order
- Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment
- Complete production forms documenting services provided
- Interact with customers and explaining services provided
