Marshall Yards Racing & Gaming is a soon-to-be-established entertainment and gaming facility strategically located in Calvert City, Kentucky, at a bustling intersection of I-69 and I-24. Job Requirements

  • must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • able to be licensed by state racing commission
  • able to work flexible work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • short-term travel may be required as workloads dictate
  • able to perform physical demands of the job such as lifting up to fifty pounds, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing or balancing
  • possess vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED
  • familiarity with pari-mutuel betting is desired
  • race track experience is preferred
  • electrical and/or computer experience is preferred
  • ability to interact with association personnel and patrons in a professional and efficient manner

Job Duties

  • prepare and maintain United Tote equipment
  • repair, maintain and clean betting terminals
  • install and tear down equipment
  • stock ticket paper on betting lines
  • unload ticket stock from freight trucks
  • label, package, ship and reorder spare parts
  • load and unload equipment on company or freight trucks
  • maintain and repair infield or auxiliary display boards
  • perform minor repairs on terminal components, test components, correctly package components for shipment and order replacement components
  • train new line technicians
  • develop wiring and soldering skills
  • understand how the terminals communicate with the Tote system
  • develop an understanding of the different wagers offered and be able to answer questions relating to the different wagers
  • perform other duties as assigned
