Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and understand safety data sheets and chemical labels
- Physical ability to operate cleaning equipment and machinery
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull weights up to fifty pounds
- Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, balance, push, pull, and reach
- Willingness to work outdoor and indoor in various weather conditions
- Availability for regularly scheduled off-hours and emergency overtime work
- Good communication skills
Job Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and understand safety data sheets, labels, warnings, and emergency procedures related to chemicals used
- Ability to read written instructions and labeling on cleaning materials
- Effective communication skills in person, by telephone, and/or radio
- Previous janitorial or cleaning experience preferred
- Familiarity with operation of cleaning machinery
- Basic computer literacy
Job Duties
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of airport facilities including floors, carpets, restrooms, surfaces, glass doors and windows, trash removal, and ashtray emptying
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the parking garage including sweeping, high dusting, floor scrubbing, trash removal, and power washing
- Sets up and tears down tables and chairs for special functions and prepares meeting rooms
- Performs all janitorial tasks in accordance with established standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and safety
- Operates cleaning machinery and tools such as vacuums, washing machines, dryers, carpet shampooers, and other cleaning supplies
- Uses office machinery including computers, telephones, tablets, and two-way radios
- Communicates and interacts with supervisors, co-workers, airport employees, tenants, and the general public
