Job Requirements
- Graduation from high school, completion of a GED, or vocational school
- prior custodial or office maintenance work preferred
- valid driver's license and good driving record

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Provide customer service to airport guests
- direct passengers and visitors to appropriate locations
- greet passengers using the 10' rule
- assist customers with locating lost or misplaced items
- assist nursing mothers and passengers/guests with disabilities
- contact airport dispatch in event of injury and remain with passenger/guest until relieved
- direct public to safe areas during severe weather or threats
- provide temporary lodging with sleeping cots/mats during flight cancellations or severe weather
- perform basic standard operation processes of the Terminal Services department
- mop restrooms, biohazardous material, weather related messes, and spills
- spot clean carpeted areas including walk-off mats and gate areas
- perform detail cleaning including windows and high dusting
- dust horizontal surfaces and machinery
- scrub and vacuum carpeted and hard surfaces
- empty trash
- sanitize public and non-public areas
- remove biohazardous needle containment units
- monitor supplies and inventory in stockrooms
- maintain product levels across airport properties
- drive to various airport buildings for general cleaning maintenance
- perform hourly restroom inspections and upkeep
- use small equipment like scissor lifts, floor scrubbers, Kaivac system, and pressure washers
- handle equipment, chemicals, and machinery properly
- maintain and perform light repairs on machinery
- report damaged fixtures or maintenance needs to supervisor
- maintain accurate log sheets including restroom sign-offs and vehicle inspections
- set up for special events or meetings
- assist airport police and EMS with security matters and biohazardous cleanup
- obtain basic emergency resuscitation training like CPR
- inform public on evacuation and safety procedures
- adhere to safety guidelines to prevent harm
- escort outside contractors for repairs or installations
- complete OSHA training on cleaning processes and chemical use
- clean and restock International FIS area twice daily
- work cooperatively with colleagues and other IAA employees
