Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience
- basic knowledge of computers, Microsoft programs, and SAP
- high mechanical aptitude
- physical ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- knowledge of office equipment
- willingness to adhere to safety protocols and use of Personal Protection Equipment including respirators
- clean-shaven where respirator seals meet the face
- pleasant and positive attitude when working with coworkers, customers, and the public
- knowledge of cement and construction industry is preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in terminal or construction operations
- basic computer skills including Microsoft programs and SAP
- mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment
- knowledge of cement and construction industry is an asset
- ability to work safely in heights and confined spaces
- positive attitude and good interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Operate terminal equipment and perform daily terminal functions as directed by management
- provide final quality control checks of products
- expedite truck handling and provide excellent customer service
- maintain terminal buildings and equipment in good condition
- handle receiving and shipping of products efficiently
- enforce internal controls to prevent fraud and protect company resources
- ensure compliance with operational procedures and legal regulations
- unload barges and railcars, transfer products to silos, sample and test received and shipped products
- correctly load bulk unit trucks with legal weights and proper products
- safely operate unloading equipment such as vibrators, compressors, loaders, blowers, pumps, and hoisting equipment
- process Bills of Lading
- troubleshoot terminal equipment failures
- follow all terminal management instructions and ensure safety and environmental policies are adhered to
