Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience
  • basic knowledge of computers, Microsoft programs, and SAP
  • high mechanical aptitude
  • physical ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • knowledge of office equipment
  • willingness to adhere to safety protocols and use of Personal Protection Equipment including respirators
  • clean-shaven where respirator seals meet the face
  • pleasant and positive attitude when working with coworkers, customers, and the public
  • knowledge of cement and construction industry is preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in terminal or construction operations
  • basic computer skills including Microsoft programs and SAP
  • mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment
  • knowledge of cement and construction industry is an asset
  • ability to work safely in heights and confined spaces
  • positive attitude and good interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Operate terminal equipment and perform daily terminal functions as directed by management
  • provide final quality control checks of products
  • expedite truck handling and provide excellent customer service
  • maintain terminal buildings and equipment in good condition
  • handle receiving and shipping of products efficiently
  • enforce internal controls to prevent fraud and protect company resources
  • ensure compliance with operational procedures and legal regulations
  • unload barges and railcars, transfer products to silos, sample and test received and shipped products
  • correctly load bulk unit trucks with legal weights and proper products
  • safely operate unloading equipment such as vibrators, compressors, loaders, blowers, pumps, and hoisting equipment
  • process Bills of Lading
  • troubleshoot terminal equipment failures
  • follow all terminal management instructions and ensure safety and environmental policies are adhered to
