Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Basic knowledge of computers and software including Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate terminal equipment safely
  • Physical ability to work at heights and in confined or enclosed areas
  • Ability to perform unloading functions
  • Knowledge of cement and construction industry preferred
  • Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment including respirators
  • Clean shaven face required for respirator fit test
  • Positive and pleasant attitude when working with co-workers, customers, and the public

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability

Job Duties

  • Provide customer service and perform final quality control checks of products
  • Expedite truck movements and handle customer interactions efficiently
  • Maintain terminal buildings and equipment in good condition
  • Operate unloading equipment safely including vibrators, compressors, front-end loader, blowers, pumps, vacuum systems, and hoisting equipment
  • Unload barges and railcars, transfer products into silos, and perform sampling and testing of products
  • Load bulk unit trucks correctly ensuring legal weights and proper product delivery
  • Process Bill of Ladings and troubleshoot terminal equipment failures
  • Communicate deviations from standards and report operational or safety issues
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies and promote a strong safety culture
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by terminal management that do not present hazards or violate policies
