Job Requirements

  • Experience in aviation or airport setting or guest experience
  • Knowledgeable in airport airside and terminal operations
  • Experience working in regulated environment
  • Facility or property management knowledge

Job Duties

  • Work with personnel and programs to enhance airport terminal and curbside operations ensuring safe and efficient passenger flow while promoting a world-class guest experience
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with airlines tenants business partners and government agencies
  • Conduct regular inspection tours of the entire facility for appearance safety staffing security and maintenance ensuring adherence to Terminal B brand standards
  • Utilize the terminal inspection program performance measurement tools and standards to improve overall performance and guest experience
  • Monitor site systems assess trends investigate abnormalities and coordinate corrective actions
  • Generate and track work orders in Computerized Maintenance Management System CMMS
  • Direct and monitor daily performance of company subcontractors
  • Support Terminal B rules and regulations by reinforcing the Terminal B Breach of Rules program TBBOR
  • Direct guest service efforts of partners and subcontractors during irregular operations
  • Support the snow team during winter operations
  • Respond to incidents and accidents conduct investigations and prepare medical and incident reports
  • Coordinate with the Port Authority airlines tenants and operations personnel in emergency situations
  • Maintain a daily log of terminal activities including issues or concerns requiring follow up
  • Build the daily gate check-in counter claim device and outbound baggage schedules for maximum efficiency
  • Monitor daily allocation of common-use resources troubleshoot scheduling conflicts with focus on guest experience
  • Control safe movement of aircraft on the apron ensuring safe sequencing and separation as per Terminal B Apron Management Plan
  • Operate two-way radio system to direct aircraft movement including pushbacks taxi routes ground delay advisories construction advisories and emergency situations
  • Prepare various reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Communicate effectively to ensure priorities are understood and acted upon with clear turnover across shifts
  • Assist operations management team with onboarding and training newly hired team members
  • Act as On-Duty Terminal Operations Manager if required
  • Perform all other duties as required
