Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Possess or in progress of obtaining a Commercial Driver’s License
- Current health card or ability to obtain one
- Current Haz Mat endorsement or ability to obtain one
- Meet Fastenal driving record standards
- Knowledge of DOT regulations for CDL drivers
- Maintain DOT hours-of-service requirements
- Willingness to drive interstate routes
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy items
- Pass DOT drug and alcohol screenings, road test, employment verification, and background check
Job Qualifications
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Possess or actively pursuing a Commercial Driver’s License
- Hold a current health card or ability to obtain one
- Hold a current Haz Mat endorsement or ability to obtain one
- Meet company driving record requirements
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations regarding CDL drivers
- Willingness to drive interstate routes
- Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs and maneuver items up to 150 lbs
- Pass required DOT drug and alcohol screenings
- Successful completion of road test, employment verification, and background check
- Prior driving experience preferred
- Forklift operation experience preferred
Job Duties
- Provide excellent service to branches and customers by delivering products promptly and efficiently
- Interact with shipping and receiving departments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicle and work area
- Comply with all health, safety, and sustainability policies
- Participate in company health, safety, and environmental training programs
- Load and unload freight safely at each stop along the route
- Operate tractor-trailer in accordance with DOT regulations
