Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess or in progress of obtaining a Commercial Driver’s License
  • Current health card or ability to obtain one
  • Current Haz Mat endorsement or ability to obtain one
  • Meet Fastenal driving record standards
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations for CDL drivers
  • Maintain DOT hours-of-service requirements
  • Willingness to drive interstate routes
  • Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy items
  • Pass DOT drug and alcohol screenings, road test, employment verification, and background check

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Possess or actively pursuing a Commercial Driver’s License
  • Hold a current health card or ability to obtain one
  • Hold a current Haz Mat endorsement or ability to obtain one
  • Meet company driving record requirements
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations regarding CDL drivers
  • Willingness to drive interstate routes
  • Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs and maneuver items up to 150 lbs
  • Pass required DOT drug and alcohol screenings
  • Successful completion of road test, employment verification, and background check
  • Prior driving experience preferred
  • Forklift operation experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent service to branches and customers by delivering products promptly and efficiently
  • Interact with shipping and receiving departments
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicle and work area
  • Comply with all health, safety, and sustainability policies
  • Participate in company health, safety, and environmental training programs
  • Load and unload freight safely at each stop along the route
  • Operate tractor-trailer in accordance with DOT regulations
