Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- two to three years experience in a service-oriented department, preferably in healthcare
- ability to adapt in a fast-paced customer service environment
- knowledge of cleaning and decontamination techniques
- ability to read, write, and perform basic math
- basic computer skills
- ability to lift at least 40 pounds
- ability to perform tasks requiring physical endurance and dexterity
- ability to push, pull, lift, bend, and stand for long periods
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- two to three years experience in a service-oriented department, preferably within the healthcare industry
- knowledge of perioperative services department operations highly desired
- knowledge of 7 step cleaning and decontamination techniques highly desired
- ability to read, write, and perform basic math
- basic computer skills to perform daily tasks in OR applications including RFID equipment tracking system and Navicare
- good interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- performs cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods
- demonstrates proper use of protective devices such as gloves, gowns, safety goggles, floor signs
- creates a great first impression through service excellence
- values constructive criticism and modifies behaviors accordingly
- stocks soap and paper towels in OR and scrub rooms
- ensures hospital compliance with regulatory and departmental standards
- participates as a member of the perioperative support associate staff
