Job Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must be able to successfully pass Benihana chef training program
- Previous experience as chef or cook highly desirable
- Ability to engage with guests in an entertaining manner
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Capable of handling kitchen equipment safely
- Effective communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Greet and welcome guests within 15 minutes of their teppan order
- Perform cooking show for assigned tables interacting courteously with guests
- Provide guests with information about foods being cooked
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests
- Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables using kitchen equipment
- Perform shift opening and closing duties including cleaning
- Maintain kitchen and hibachi areas clean, sanitary, and organized
- Follow company standards on food portioning, cooking methods, and presentation
- Handle, store, label, and rotate foods properly according to safety laws
- Use knives and utensils to prepare food according to specifications
- Adhere to company guidelines on alcoholic beverage service
- Notify management of guest dissatisfaction or accidents
- Participate in special occasion celebrations and photography as requested
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
