Job Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must successfully pass Benihana chef training program
  • Ability to engage and entertain guests
  • Prior experience as a chef or cook preferred
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong attention to hygiene and safety protocols
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Successful completion of Benihana chef training program
  • Previous experience as a chef or cook highly desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Knowledge of food safety and preparation techniques
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, interactive environment

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests promptly upon their teppan order
  • Perform engaging cooking shows for assigned tables while maintaining courteous interaction with guests
  • Provide guests with detailed information about Benihana foods and respond promptly to guest requests
  • Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other foods using various kitchen equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, hibachi tables, and equipment
  • Follow company standards for food portioning, cooking methods, and presentation
  • Handle, store, label, and rotate foods according to health and safety regulations
