Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Must be able to successfully pass Benihana chef training program
- Previous experience as chef or cook highly desirable
- Ability to perform cooking shows and interact with guests
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to maintain clean and organized kitchen and grinding areas
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications

- Ability to successfully pass Benihana chef training program
- Previous experience as chef or cook highly desirable
- Knowledgeable about and complies with company standards on food portioning, cooking methods, quality standards, recipes, and service cycle
- Ability to engage and entertain guests while maintaining professionalism
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Job Duties
- Greet and welcome guests within 15 minutes of their teppan order
- Perform a cooking show for assigned tables ensuring appropriate and courteous interaction with guests
- Provide guests with information about Benihana foods during cooking or upon guest inquiries
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests
- Ask guests for cooking preference and follow guest instructions
- Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking using kitchen equipment
- Perform shift opening and closing duties such as cleaning refrigeration units, gaskets, chef carts and floors
