Job Duties

  • Greets and welcomes guests within 15 minutes of their teppan order
  • Performs a cooking show for assigned tables ensuring interaction with guests is appropriate and courteous
  • Provides guests with information about foods as they are being cooked or upon guest inquiries
  • Responds promptly and courteously to guest requests
  • Asks guests for cooking preference and follows guest instructions
  • Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables using kitchen equipment
  • Performs shift opening and closing duties such as cleaning refrigeration units and floors
  • Maintains kitchen and cooking areas clean, sanitary, and organized
  • Reports any kitchen equipment or maintenance issues to manager on duty
  • Adheres to company standards on food portioning, cooking methods, quality standards, recipes, and policies
  • Prepares foods according to portion standards and recipe specifications
  • Adheres to guidelines on proper food presentation and garnishes
  • Handles, stores, labels and rotates foods properly in accordance with health and safety laws
  • Uses knives and utensils to prepare food
  • Adheres to guidelines on alcoholic beverage service
  • Presents a clean and neat appearance and uses a courteous manner with guests
  • Notifies manager on duty when guests are unsatisfied or accidents occur
  • Participates in special occasion celebrations and may photograph or be photographed with guests
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
