Job Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must successfully complete Benihana chef training program
- Previous experience as chef or cook highly desirable
- Ability to greet and engage guests courteously
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Must maintain a clean and professional appearance
- Must comply with all food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties
- Greets and welcomes guests within 15 minutes of their teppan orders
- Performs a cooking show for assigned tables ensuring interaction with guests is appropriate and courteous
- Provides guests with information about foods as they are being cooked or upon guest inquiries
- Responds promptly and courteously to guest requests
- Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items using kitchen equipment
- Maintains kitchen, teppan cooking areas and equipment clean and sanitized
- Performs shift opening and closing duties such as cleaning refrigeration units, carts and floors
- Ensures food handling, portioning, presentation and storage comply with company and health standards
- Participates in guest special occasion celebrations and assists with photography if requested
- Adheres to company policies on alcoholic beverage service
