Job Duties
- Greets and welcomes guests within 15 minutes of their teppan order
- performs a cooking show for assigned tables ensuring interaction with guests is appropriate and courteous
- provides guests with information about foods as they are cooked or upon inquiry
- responds promptly and courteously to guest requests
- asks guests for cooking preferences and follows instructions
- prepares meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items using various kitchen equipment
- performs shift opening and closing duties like cleaning refrigeration units and floors
- maintains kitchen, cooking areas, equipment, and food storage areas clean and sanitary
- reports kitchen equipment or maintenance issues to the manager
- follows company standards on food portioning, cooking methods, quality standards, and recipes
- prepares foods according to portion standards including battering, breading, seasoning, or marinating
- adheres to food presentation and garnish guidelines
- handles, stores, labels, and rotates foods properly following safety laws and FIFO method
- uses knives, tools, utensils, and equipment for food preparation
- follows company guidelines on alcoholic beverage service
- maintains clean appearance and courteous manner
- notifies manager promptly of guest dissatisfaction or accidents
- participates in ensuring guest special occasion celebrations are memorable
- performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor
