Job Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- must be able to successfully pass Benihana chef training program
- previous experience as chef or cook highly desirable
- ability to engage and entertain guests while cooking
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

Job Duties
- Greet and welcome guests within 15 minutes of their teppan order
- perform a cooking show for assigned tables ensuring interaction with guests is appropriate and courteous
- provide guests with information about Benihana foods as they are being cooked or upon inquiry
- respond promptly and courteously to guest requests
- ask guests for cooking preferences and follow guest instructions
- prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking using kitchen equipment
- perform shift opening and closing duties such as cleaning refrigeration units and floors
