- Previous experience as chef or cook highly desirable

Job Duties
- Greets and welcomes guests within 15 minutes of their teppan order
- Performs a cooking show for assigned tables ensuring interaction with guests is appropriate and courteous
- Provides guests with information about Benihana foods and answers inquiries
- Responds promptly and courteously to guest requests
- Asks guests for cooking preferences and follows instructions
- Prepares various meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items using kitchen equipment
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, teppan cooking areas, and kitchen equipment
- Handles food portioning, cooking methods, and quality standards according to company guidelines
- Prepares foods with proper seasoning, battering, and breading following recipe specifications
- Adheres to proper food presentation and garnishing standards
- Handles, stores, labels, and rotates foods following health, safety, and FIFO methods
- Uses knives, utensils, and equipment to prepare and portion food
- Adheres to company guidelines on alcoholic beverage service
- Maintains a clean and neat personal appearance and courteous manners with guests
- Notifies manager on duty (MOD) of any guest dissatisfaction or accidents
- Participates in special occasion celebrations and may photograph guests
- Performs additional duties assigned by supervisors
