Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to provide guest service to students, staff, faculty and guests of the university
- ability to learn foodservice positions
- ability to work closely with others and interact with a highly diverse population
- ability to work with college students as coworkers and guests
- ability to continue functioning and maintain composure in a fast-paced atmosphere
- ability to pass food safety training class provided by employer
- good written and verbal communication skills
- experience with or ability to learn computer skills such as accurate data entry, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel, and food management systems like CBORD
- for cashiers, servers, and concessions positions, ability to learn and use point-of-sale systems efficiently
- ability to learn and adhere to UM Dining cash-handling policies for the unit assigned
- ability to apply basic mathematical functions in situations such as counting back change, reconciling invoices, or converting recipes
