Job Requirements

  • Associate degree
  • Four years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Morning availability for weekday classes
  • Ability to work effectively with older adults
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt lessons to meet participant needs
  • Competence in tracking attendance and managing class details

Job Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience teaching cooking, nutrition, or food preparation in group settings
  • Knowledge of age-appropriate health, wellness, and dietary considerations
  • Ability to adapt instructional methods for diverse abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated professionalism, dependability, and enthusiasm
  • Preferred certification in culinary arts, nutrition, or wellness instruction
  • CPR and First Aid certification

Job Duties

  • Plan and lead engaging cooking classes tailored for senior participants
  • Promote healthy eating habits and nutritional awareness
  • Teach practical cooking skills and kitchen safety
  • Adapt recipes and activities to suit varying skill levels and dietary needs
  • Foster social interaction and confidence among participants
  • Track attendance and manage class logistics
  • Support wellness-centered programming initiatives
